Cavity Wall Insulation Fee Earner

Job Purpose

To deal with claims with the negligent installation of Cavity Wall Insulation from inception through to settlement and/or trial.

To represent clients who have had their property damaged by improper installation of Cavity Wall Insulation in order to obtain compensation effectively on their behalf.

Core Activities
  • Ability to run issued, multi-track matters with minimal supervision.
  • To manage all stages of the litigation process from initial instructions to full litigation at court.
  • To effectively act upon court directions and to prepare matters for trial
  • Liaising with Insurance Companies and Defendant Solicitors verbally and in writing.
  • Action Tasks on a daily basis
  • Review files fully and identify next steps and put this in action.
  • Sending out relevant letters to clients, insurance companies, witnesses, etc.
  • Inbound and outbound client contact throughout their claim
  • Reviewing surveyor’s reports
Essential Skills/Experience
  • Legal Knowledge of the Construction Pre-Action Protocol
  • Legal knowledge of the CPR and fast-track litigation process
  • Ability to use: Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, target driven environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Organisation and admin skills
  • Communication skills: written and verbal
  • Ability to work individually or part as a team
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Experience of using Proclaim case management system
  • Legal knowledge of compensation claims system
  • Experience of running Cavity Wall Insulation claims

Holiday Illness Claims Handler

Job Purpose

To represent clients who have suffered with an illness whilst on a holiday abroad in order to obtain compensation effectively on their behalf.

Core Activities
  • Vetting the claim to ensure relevant criteria is met in relation to liability, causation and quantum
  • Assess and review booking documentation
  • Action Tasks on a daily basis
  • Instructing medical experts
  • Monitoring claims on a daily basis and taking appropriate action where necessary
  • Instructing and corresponding with foreign experts in relation to local standard reports.
  • Arranging for the translation of foreign documentation
  • Sending out relevant letters to clients, witnesses, employers, etc…….
  • Inbound and outbound client contact throughout their claim
  • Reviewing medical records, medical reports etc….
  • To successfully settle the client’s compensation claim when appropriate
  • To prepare and calculate Schedules of Loss setting out losses incurred as a result of the illness including loss of enjoyment of the holiday
  • Liaising with Insurance Companies verbally and written
  • Carrying out checks on the internet such as Trip advisor and newspapers for similar illnesses
  • Issuing and managing litigated files
  • Instructing and corresponding with Counsel
Preferable Skills
  • Legal Knowledge of Pre-Action Protocol and Court Process along with knowledge of Court Documents

RTA Fee Earner

Job Purpose

To represent clients who have been injured in a Road Traffic Accident that was not their fault in order to obtain compensation effectively on their behalf.

Core Activities
  • Liaising with Insurance Companies and Defendant Solicitors verbally and written
  • Action Tasks on a daily basis
  • Review files and issue court proceedings where applicable
  • Sending out relevant letters to clients, insurance companies, witnesses, police etc…….
  • Inbound and outbound client contact throughout their claim
  • Reviewing medical records, medical reports, police reports etc….
  • Ability to run issued, fast track matters with minimal supervision.
  • To manage all stages of the litigation process to full litigation at court.
